Process Design Demonstration Videos

We believe that the best way to assess our leading BPM solution is to try it out for yourself.  For this reason, we have created these tutorial videos to guide you through the workings of ProcessMaker features.  Following this step by step guide, you will understand how easy it is to create a workflow just how customizable it really can be!

1 - ROUTING RULES

Tutorial Step 1 - Routing Rules are where process design begins and are our business logic put in place on the Process Map which will dictate the path of cases trough your workflow. ProcessMaker Routing Rules allow for easy and straight forward process design whether the process is simple or complex.

2 - DYNAFORMS

Tutorial Step 2 - ProcessMaker has an integrated webforms builder included in its BPM Suite which allows business analysts to design custom web forms for all of an organization's processes.  The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for business users to add just about any type of field including text boxes, check boxes, drop downs, grids, date pickers, file upload fields, and even PKI certified digital signature fields (together with an add-on product).  These forms are your end user interaction point.

3 - GRID DYNAFORMS

Tutorial Step 3 - A ProcessMaker Grid Dynaform is a tool used to gather information that is best arranged in rows and columns. Grid dynaforms are embedded into normal dynaforms, however they must be created separately.

4 - INPUT AND OUTPUT DOCUMENTS

Tutorial Step 4 - Business Process Management would be lacking something in most organizations without some way of managing documents that are produced or submitted within the workflow.  ProcessMaker features its own document management system (DMS) to allow you to manage workflow documents easily and efficiently.

5 - ASSIGNING STEPS AND GROUPS

Tutorial Step 5 - A step in ProcessMaker is a set of subtasks within a task. Steps can include web forms, input documents or output documents. Once you have created all of the necessary parts of a task you must assign them steps.  Steps can also have conditions specified against them, dictating whether or not they should take place based upon a user interaction.

6 - WEB SERVICES SOA

Tutorial Step 6 - The ProcessMaker SOA Web Services API is a complete set of SOAP Web Services which make it easy to embed ProcessMaker functions into 3rd party software or connect ProcessMaker to 3rd party systems.  You may not always need to connect to other applications, however this step of our tutorial demonstrates how data can be pushed or fetched in and out of ProcessMaker.

7 - PDF GENERATOR

Tutorial Step 7 - Many BPM workflows need to create printable mail merge PDFs as part of the business process. The ProcessMaker BPM Suite has a built in PDF Generator which can generate mail merge PDFs which will take variables from the web forms and display them in a printable document such as a form, a letter, an invoice, or a contract.

8 - BUSINESS PROCESS DEBUGGER

Tutorial Step 8 - ProcessMaker users rave about the ProcessMaker process debugger and claim it is one of the best in the BPM industry.  Turn the process debugger on to troubleshoot your processes and understand how business rules, web services, and scripts are working in your process.  Alternatively, if one of your triggers or documents is not giving you the data you were expecting, the debugger will show you where the problem resides.

9 - CONDITIONS
Conditions

Tutorial Step 9 - Conditions are rules that determine the path of a case. The two major types of conditions are the Routing Rule conditions and the Steps conditions.  Once you have a process map and forms created, you can use the data submitted in your forms by the users to dictate which path a case should take.

Run a Case (from the End-User Perspective)

Tutorial Step 10 - In this demonstration we will initialize a case and run a process that we've previously created by following the steps above.  It's at this step that you can fully understand everything that you've configured up to this point and how it is working to give you a fully functioning workflow.
