The BPM Inbox or Workflow Inbox is one of the most important aspects of the BPM user experience.  ProcessMaker BPM Custom Workflow Inbox Builder is designed to allow users to design their own Custom Workflow Inbox.  This ProcessMaker Add On allows a ProcessMaker administrator to customize content that is available to users so that they can use a custom Workflow Inbox tailored to their preference.  

Using the Custom Workflow Inbox tool, administrators can access and provide variables from our WebForms so that users can customize the columns they will see in their inbox.  These variables are pre-defined in PM Tables and are then used in workflow designs on ProcessMaker Webforms (also called DynaForms). 

This feature can dramatically improve a user’s efficiency by guaranteeing that they can see the exact information they want to see about each BPM case.  For example, imagine you are using ProcessMaker’s BPM suite to process credit applications for your bank.  Wouldn’t you want to see the amount of each application as a column type in your BPM Inbox?  Of course, you would.   By doing so, the user saves clicks and clicks & time in today’s digital world.  The more pertinent the information is in your custom Workflow Inbox, then the less you will need to aimlessly click into a case to see what it is all about.

Configuring your Custom Workflow Inbox

The configuration of the Custom Workflow Inbox Builder is carried out by the administrator from within the Admin menu, using a simple selection and drag-and-drop interface.  The admin user can define what fields show up in the Custom Workflow Inbox view of the users.  The users can then individually filter their view to show only the fields they want to see. 

Advantages of this feature include the possibility of filtering or sorting cases in the Inbox by relevant real time data as well as the user having the capability to prioritize their workload by seeing their to-do list organized in any order they deem relevant.

The Custom Workflow Inbox Builder is available in all levels of ProcessMaker Enterprise Subscriptions, meaning that any client with a subscription to the ProcessMaker Enterprise Edition will be able to take advantage of this feature.
