DECSIS, Sistemas de Informação SA, the exclusive provider of Hewlett-Packard products and services in the Portuguese market, chose ProcessMaker to manage all of its customer processes, from lead creation to invoicing. DECSIS prides itself on providing the highest levels of quality to its customers. However, enforcing its rigid ISO 9000 quality management processes can be a difficult task: DECSIS was no exception, as ineffective processes made it hard to track, manage and audit operations. DECSIS needed a system that would improve performance while matching the way its business operated, rather than having to change all of its processes.

Challenges

Proposals were delayed due to forgetfulness, and the management team went unnotified.
Proper alerts were not in place when sales proposals didn’t meet its margin.
Risk analysis and performance indicators were nearly non-existent, which meant that there was no way to measure its performance before and after completion of each task.

Renaissance Construction, established by a 26 year-old Turkish civil engineer in 1994, builds shopping centers, airports, factories, cement plants, offices, hotels, marinas and hydroelectric plants as general contractors or equity investors in 7 different countries around the world. The company's global workforce posed several challenges to the human resources department, particularly in handling the company's numerous paper-based request workflows.

Challenges

Workflows required HR personnel to collect multiple signatures from different managers in the organization.
HR was overwhelmed by queries from personnel regarding the state of their requests. To respond to requests HR personnel needed to make calls to many different people in the organization to determine the state of their requests.
Paper-based requests were forgotten on desks or lost.
Managers travel a lot between construction sites from city by city and sometimes, country by country. When a manager was on a long business trip or on the vacation, requests waited on the manager's desk, instead of proceeding through the appropriate workflow.
