Workflow Documents (Input / Output)
Workflow Documents
Workflow documents can be classified as input or output. Input workflow documents are files that are uploaded to a BPM application by users so that they can provide a point of reference of their process case to other users in the process.
In ProcessMaker, input workflow documents can be of any file type and are easily uploaded to a form or process by a user. This workflow document then follows the case that it is tied to from user to user throughout the process. Subsequent users can then download, reference or amend the input document utilizing ProcessMaker versioning capability.
Output workflow documents can be created from ProcessMaker by designing a document template and inserting your form field names into that template. After selecting a point in your process for that document to generate, ProcessMaker will take the values of your fields and insert them into the relevant places in your document. Your outputted workflow documents can be generated in either PDF or Word Document format.
Workflow documents are an intregal part of BPM, since automating processes and workflows is about the shift from paper to computer. ProcessMaker facilitates all of this with a simple, easy to use document creation and storage feature.
