Colosa is a developer of software solutions that enable companies to simplify workflow through the capture and automation of business processes.
The company's flagship product, ProcessMaker, is an open source workflow management software application that enables SMEs to automate document intensive, approval-based processes across systems including finance, HR and operations. ProcessMaker is an AJAX enabled, SOA, web-based application which allows users across single and multiple sites to create and share workflows, customize forms, manage processes, and enhance reporting. Colosa was founded in 2000 and has customers in local and central government, retail and finance.
Colosa enjoys a development partnership with Xcompetence A/S, a Danish IT firm that specializes in open source applications and integrations, software development, and IT training (ICDL/ECDL). The partnership is supported by a Danida B2B Grant from the Danish Foreign Ministry. Xcompetence is a leading IT and PC training provider on Bornholm and the biggest in PC driver’s licenses with 3-400 certifications per year. In this area Xcompetence is the second largest testing centre in Denmark, and has lately been awarded the "Test center of the Year" by The Danish IT Society ("Dansk IT").
